Veligandu Island
Veligandu Island is a magical place.
It's a tiny island, only about the size of a small city block, but it feels like you're in another world.
Veligandu Island is a little island off the coast of India that has become a popular tourist destination. It’s known for its white sand beaches, clear blue waters, and lush greenery. Visitors can also enjoy many activities such as snorkeling or scuba diving, kayaking, and hiking through the forested areas of the island. The island has been uninhabited for centuries and only became populated again in 1970 when it was discovered by an oil exploration team. The island was bought by a resort developer in 1972 and opened as a resort in 1973. Today it is accessed by boat from Chennai or Cochin airports.
