Rush is a band from Toronto, Canada formed in 1968 . The members of the band include Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart. They are known for their eclectic sound and their commitment to live performance. Rush has been nominated for 18 Juno Awards, winning six as well as 12 Grammy Awards with five of them being for Best Rock Performance with three for Record of the Year. They have released 22 studio albums over their career span, which have achieved commercial success in Canada and the United States but not so much internationally.

The group's first album was released in 1974 titled "Rush". It was followed by "Fly by Night" (1975), "Caress of Steel" (1975), "2112" (1976), "A Farewell to Kings" (1977) which featured some progressive rock elements.
