Alexandre Dumas is one of the most famous French authors of all time. The author of The Three Musketeers and a number of other novels. Alexandre Dumas is best known for his novels and plays, but he was also an entrepreneur, a playwright and a prolific journalist.
Alexandre Dumas was a french writer most famously known for his novels The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo. He was born on July 24, 1802 in Villers-Cotterκts to General Thomas-Alexandre Davy de la Pailleterie and his wife Elizabeth. Trained in law, Dumas served in the French army, where he became a captain of cavalry in the 4th Dragoon Regiment, before leaving to pursue a literary career. He wrote more than 800 published novels and other works. His two greatest works are considered: The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo.
