Mark Twain
Mark Twain is one of the most influential writers of all time. He was an American writer, lecturer, publisher, humorist, and entrepreneur. He wrote novels, short stories, essays and travelogues. His books are still read today. Twain was famous for his humorous writing style which is known as "American humor".
He was born Samuel Langhorne Clemens in Florida, Missouri on November 30th 1835. He passed away in Redding Connecticut on April 21st 1910.
Twain's work was very influential during his time period and beyond. His most notable works include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876), The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885), and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1889). These books were written during the transition from the Victorian Era to the modern era.
Mark Twain is often considered one of America's greatest writers of all time because he was able to create realistic characters that seemed like real people.
