Chinua Achebe
Chinua Achebe (born Albert Chinualumogu Achebe, 16 November 1930) is a Nigerian novelist, professor, and literary critic. Often called the "father of modern African literature", his work has been widely published and translated into English, Dutch, German and other languages.
Chinua Achebe is a renowned Nigerian novelist, poet and critic. Achebe wrote his debut novel, Things Fall Apart in 1958 that depicted the life of Igbo people in the late 19th century to early 20th century through the eyes of Okonkwo. He was also involved in politics and was a fierce critic of Nigerian military rule during the years 1966–1979.
