The Jimi Hendrix Experience

The Jimi Hendrix Experience is a rock music band that was formed in New York City in 1966.

The band was formed by guitarist Jimi Hendrix, bassist Noel Redding, and drummer Mitch Mitchell. The group disbanded after the death of Hendrix in 1970.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience released three studio albums and four singles. They included covers in their music, especially "Hey Joe" by Billy Roberts and "All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan. However, Hendrix's music style primarily included his improvisation of well-known songs for a rock music audience.

His most well-known song, "Purple Haze", is an example of Hendrix's improvisation.
